CAN WE SELL ONE MILLION STAMPS?
Do you know one “International Language Day” stamps when you order online could also count as ‘ONE VOTE’ in favor of "International Language Day' stamps for the “Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee” review board? This will help us to be considered at the decision making process by United States Postal Service (USPS) to approve the stamp for carrying at the local post office. Thank you for your support and appreciation about our dream stamps: “International Language Day” stamps. An application has been already submitted to “Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee” review board to approve “International Language Day” stamps make available from the local post office next year 2009.

Do you remember how the “EID’ postage stamp first launched in USA? Behind the story of EID stamps as I can recall: EID stamp was inaugurated 1st September 2001 at ISNA conference in Chicago. That time USPS said, if one million EID stamp purchased during “Eid-ul-Fitter’ and ‘Eid-ul-Azha’ USPS will carry every year EID stamp. Guess what? The American Muslims took it as challenge and purchased over 7 million stamps in USA between 2001-2002. We have to go through the same path and need support from all countries of the world. On 21st February almost 200 countries and over 6000 different language spoken people will observe ‘International Language Day’. USPS official Mr. Alexander Laserof said, there is PC postage available through our approved vendors for this stamp and it will be considered at the decision making process how many people have used and wanted to see the stamp as ' International Mother Language Stamp (February 3rd, 2008, Ittefaq).

This is the beginning of our journey and we have to have at least one million votes required in favor of “International Language Day” stamps. What makes the difference buying online USPS approved PC postage vs buying local post office. Both stamps has the same ‘first class mail’ status , 100% genuine legal US postal stamp. The only difference PC postage is available only from online and pay little extra for customized post stamp.

PC postage was first launched in 1999 and people use for fun, personal photo, promotion etc. It was unknown to all of us almost 9 years until revealed at the press conference in Los Angeles January 31st, 2008 that we can release our dream stamp “International Language Day” stamps 100% legally overnight first class mail in USA . This is the first foot step to start the process of getting approval for the stamp. The idea of releasing the stamp through www.zazzle.com/osmani company for the following reasons: 1. One “International Language Day” stamps could count as ‘ONE VOTE’ in favor of "International Language Day' stamps for the Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee board to be considered at the decision making process. 2. An awareness about the importance of what is "International Language Day' specially for the American and other nationalities in USA and less than 1% americans doesn't know what is 'International Mother Language Day'. 3. We've taken the first step to one step closer for the 'Citizen Advisory Committee' to approve the stamp in next year 2009, if we can reach at least 1 million votes by purchasing the stamps to approve the stamps for local post office.

Zazzle.com is an approved USPS licensed vendor and the only authority to release customized PC postage through some selective venders. We have taken zazzle company as a vehicle to sell the stamps legally and each stamps could considered as one single vote in favor of the stamps. Its like having million signature drive to support the stamps. I thought the month of February will be the perfect month to release the 'Ekushey' stamps without any delay. Please tell your friends and family to use the 'International Language Day ' stamps as their day to day postal need. It is true we're paying extra to purchase the stamps from zazzle. But we don't have any other choices to release the 'Ekushy' stamps overnight other than USPS approved PC postage vendors. Once we get the approval for the stamps from 'Citizen Advisory Committee' than we may not need anymore PC postage. We need your support whatever you can. I would like to request all of you to give your feed back or any suggestion and comments in this matter. Please also send the web link to your friends and family to accomplish our goal. Lets make the month of February and the year 2008 to accomplish our goal where we'll find a permanent address for "INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY" postal stamps at the local US post office.

Sunny, this stamp has nothing to do with US govt. Anyone, I repeat anyone can compose
such stamp with your personal choice of picture and use it. This is not by USPS, but
a business strategy of an individual. It is nice of him to choose
'Smritishoudho'picture but that no way represents any recognition by US govt or US
postal service.

You can use your own picture, your kids picture whatever you want
to compose such stamp..

Please do not convey wrong information to innocent
Bangladeshis for some financial benefit of individual!!!

@Anonna: Last year the Eid stamp with Quranic word was approved by USPS, and
Bengalis are trying to do the same. Please do not discourage.

Sunny, It is not about Bengalis but an individual I guess.

What I am trying to
discourage is using public sentiment for personal gain. Anyway, I have just shared my
thoughts!

If it wwas for Bangladeshis, I would have encouraged it like
anything.
I would like to draw your attention as well as of other readers attention
to the floowing discussion on such
issue..
