I have see the whole video and boy o boy...Dr Yunus is smart as God....I am feeling really proud that we got an angel that is looking after our poor people...He is doing something good and that is why people like UNKNOWN hates him badly because all they think about is how to undress hollywood girls...
I am proud of being a Bangladeshi. Dr. Yunus has introduced our nation to the world definitely in a new way unlike the world knows and undoubtedly made us proud. I have felt absolutely egotistical whenever he has uttered the world 'Bangladesh' in his speech. Salute to Dr. Yunus!
Forget about all the contributions Dr. Yunus has made for our country, the poor and for world economy but at least one thing is for sure and that is he brought the Nobel Prize for the first time in our country. @ kuddus: During interview with BBC, He told GB has interest rate same as other banks. However, the poor has no access to those banks. If that is true, whats the problem. Poor usually pays 50% interest to so called mohajon. On top of that interest rate increase if you cant repay after certain period. Thats not the case for GB.
Moreover, GB need more principle to give loan to more people. How will it happen if theres no interest?

I am writing with respect to Prof.Yunus, he is our proud and done something for the poor people but he is borrowing money 5-6% interest from the investor but taking the interest about 30-35%, is it a real help or doing business with the poor people. So i request u dont make the poor people foolish rather u need to thing how u can help the poor people with less interest as u should think u are not helping with ur own money so why will u take too much interest for ur own purpore or for u ?

If Grameen Bank is not made for profit, then I am sure that there are reasons behind taking 30% interest from the borrowers. I am sure that the staff at Grameen Bank need to be paid and there are a lot of other expenses to run such an organisation. The goal here is to take people out of poverty. So if the goal is reached, I do not see any problem in paying 30% interest. If I was very poor and someone took me out of that, I would be more than happy to pay back with an interest rate of 30%. And they also seem to have a rule where the interest can never go past the original amount borrowed no matter how long it takes to pay back. And since the amount borrowed is fairly small, it is quite easy to pay back. If the 30% interest was a bad thing, Grameen Bank would never be so successful in taking people out of peverty.
