Happy to see that Jamuna Future Park is finally poised for inauguration. A lot of people have a lot of grudges against this mega mall, but let me cool you guys down by writing that mega-malls such as this are necessary in Bangladesh. For years, Bangladeshis have thronged to India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore (even Dubai) for shopping. With this mall (and Bashundhara City for that matter), some shoppers will be lured into domestic market. I don't have a number, but I am pretty sure this mall will create many employment. The value of adjoining suburbs (Bashundhara mainly) will appreciate, and there will be many people who would feel encouraged to move in to Bashundhara, thus reducing pressure from other areas. The benefits are endless. As we move forward as a nation, it's important that we construct mega structures.
